The 22nd annual summer meeting of the International Society for Environmental Ethics (ISEE) will convene Sunday, June 8 to Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the University of Montana, Missoula, MT. We are calling for either individual or panel proposals. Keynotes and Special Events
- Dr. Deborah McGregor will provide the opening keynote, sharing her current work in indigenous environmental justice.
- Dr. Andrew Light will provide two talks: an evening public event in honor of UM philosopher Albert Borgmann and a conference talk on his own work as Assistant Secretary of Energy for International Affairs.
- The Payne Family Native American Center will host a lunch and lecture on UM’s groundbreaking Native American Studies department.
- Guided Field Trip opportunities will explore restoration projects around Missoula, including the Milltown Reservoir Superfund Site and the CSKT Bison Range.

This conference discusses the value of the current debate on scientific realism and the methods used to pursue it. Relevant subtopics are the role of case studies, the adoption of epistemic stances and the usefulness of the debate for science, science policy, or society at large.
