Congratulations to Craig Callender, who will serve as President-Elect of the PSA starting on January 1, 2023 before assuming the role of President on January 1, 2025.

We would also like to welcome Jonathan Tsou and James Weatherall to the Governing Board. Their terms will start January 1, 2023

Barcelona Principles for a Globally Inclusive Philosophy

During the spring Governing Board meeting it was voted that the PSA should endorse the Barcelona Principles for a Globally Inclusive Philosophy. The PSA is proud to join the roughly 700 signatories from around the world that are dedicated to making Philosophy a more inclusive discipline.

PSA22 Pittsburgh Update

Thanks to the tireless work of Holly Andersen and the Program Committee, the preparations for PSA22 are coming along nicely. We are currently finilazing room assignments for symposia and contributed papers. We anticipate releasing the schedule and opening registration in early July - keep an eye out for the announcement via email and PSA social media.

New Prize/Syllabus Repository

The Philosophy of Science Association invites submissions of course syllabi showcasing effective and creative teaching of the philosophy of science reaching beyond the Anglophone mainstream. The aim: To build a library of new ideas and good practices from around the world to help those trying to internationalize the subject and introduce it to new audiences. Eligible syllabi will be available on the syllabus repository and can be accessed freely via the PSA website.

PSA members may make submissions to the Chair of the PSA International Relations Committee, Prof. Hasok Chang, University of Cambridge, via e-mail: <hc372@cam.ac.uk>. Entries are considered for an annual prize, awarded at the biennial PSA conference or at a separate online event (deadline for 2022 prize: 15 July 2022).
