Schopenhauer\n\n06/22/26 12:00 AM EST\n - 06/22/26 12:00 AM EST\Description:\nWe are pleased to announce the call for abstracts for the international conference “Philosophy of Science and Ethics of Science in the Context of A. Schopenhauer”, which will take place at Münster Palace, Germany, from 30 November to 1 December 2026.\n\nThe conference invites contributions in English or German and will bring together historical and systematic approaches to the philosophy of science and the ethics of science in relation to Arthur Schopenhauer’s philosophy.\n\nWe welcome submissions on topics including, but not limited to, Schopenhauer’s philosophy of science, scientific explanation and causality, the classification of the sciences, the ethics of scientific practice, responsibility and compassion in science, Schopenhauer’s reception in the special sciences, animal ethics, environmental ethics, and sustainability. Contributions that combine historical scholarship with systematic analysis are especially welcome, though purely historical papers are also very welcome.\n\nPlease send an abstract of approximately 300–500 words for a 30-minute presentation to:\n\njenslemanski+cfp26@uni-muenster.de\n\nSubmissions will be subject to peer review. We especially encourage submissions from early career researchers.
